The short version: this site collects very little. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your first name, your email address and a record of your consent — and we use them for one purpose: sending you the emails you asked for. We don’t sell or rent personal data, and we don’t ask for any information about your child.
Who we are
My Miracle Baby (mymiraclebaby.com.sg) is a personal website run by a Singapore family, writing about autism parenting in Singapore. This policy explains how we handle personal data under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. First name, email address, and a record of your consent (what you agreed to and when). The form also logs the IP address the submission came from, as a safeguard against abuse.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the correspondence.
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps routine technical logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
That’s the list. You don’t need an account to read anything here, the site doesn’t accept comments, and we don’t run advertising trackers.
What we use it for
Newsletter data is used to send you the newsletter and the resources you signed up for — nothing else. Correspondence is used to reply to you. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we only use it for the purpose you gave it to us for.
Consent — and taking it back
The newsletter is strictly opt-in: you tick the consent box when you subscribe, and we keep that record. You can withdraw at any time — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can write to us at info@mymiraclebaby.com.sg and we will remove you. Withdrawing consent stops future emails; it doesn’t affect anything already sent.
Who else touches the data
Two kinds of parties process data on our behalf:
- Our email platform (Moosend). Newsletter names and addresses are stored there so the emails can actually be sent. Form submissions are also stored in our own site database (Gravity Forms).
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server this site lives on.
Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. Where that happens, the PDPA requires — and we take reasonable steps to ensure — that the data receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA’s.
Cookies
This site currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and with comments disabled there are no comment cookies either. If we add privacy-respecting analytics later, we will update this policy first.
Embedded content
Articles may embed content from other sites (for example a video). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other site directly: that site may collect data about you, set its own cookies, and track your interaction with the embed. Their privacy policies apply to that content.
How long we keep it
Newsletter data is kept while you’re subscribed and deleted when you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. Correspondence and form entries are kept only as long as they serve the purpose they were collected for, then deleted.
About your child’s information
This site is about parenting, so one rule matters to us more than most: we do not ask for, and please do not send us, identifying information about your child — names, photos, school, diagnosis details — through our forms. Anything we publish about our own daughter is our family’s deliberate choice; your family’s story is yours to keep.
Your rights under the PDPA
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you, and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year;
- Correct any error or omission in it;
- Withdraw consent for any use of it (we’ll explain the consequences, then comply);
- Delete your data where we have no remaining basis to keep it.
Send any request to info@mymiraclebaby.com.sg. We’ll respond as soon as we reasonably can, and in any case within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission (pdpc.gov.sg).
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or how we use it changes, this page changes first — with the “last updated” date above refreshed. Significant changes to how newsletter data is used would be flagged in the newsletter itself.
