For the subsidised route, you need a referral from a polyclinic or GP; Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents get government subsidy at public hospitals. A multidisciplinary team (developmental paediatricians and psychologists, with therapists as needed) assesses your child and gives you a written report.

Two honest expectations. Cost: the subsidised assessment usually comes to a few hundred dollars, but there is no single published price — confirm with the hospital. Wait: no official figure is published either; families commonly describe three to six months, sometimes longer.
