NUH CDU

National University Hospital — Child Development Unit

Like KKH DCD, NUH CDU runs multidisciplinary assessments: developmental paediatricians, psychologists and therapists assess your child, then give you a diagnosis (where one applies), a written report, and the onward referral into early intervention.

The subsidised route needs a polyclinic or GP referral. Costs and waits work the same way as at KKH: usually a few hundred dollars subsidised (confirm with the hospital), and a wait commonly described as three to six months. What to do during that wait — and how to choose between the public and private routes — is in our step-by-step guide.
