Pathlight School
Pathlight sits in a specific spot on the school map: it is a SPED school, but one that teaches the national curriculum. It suits students who can cognitively access mainstream academics and need smaller classes, accommodations and autism-trained staff to do it well.
The school takes students aged 7 to 18 and pairs the academic curriculum with life-readiness skills. It is run by the Autism Resource Centre (ARC).
Placement into any SPED school, Pathlight included, goes through professional assessment — talk to your child’s assessing team about whether the profile fits.
