SPED FAS
Special Education Financial Assistance Scheme
If your child attends (or will attend) a government-funded SPED school and money is tight, this is the scheme to check. It is separate from the mainstream MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS) — SPED FAS is specifically for SPED schools.
Eligibility is income-based. For AY2026 the ceilings were raised: gross household income of S$4,000 a month, or per-capita income of S$1,000 a month. Figures change — confirm the current ceilings with your child’s school when you apply.
Applications go through the school, so ask the school office directly. They process these routinely; you will not be the first family to ask.
