Special Needs Trust Company (SNTC)
Special Needs Trust Company
SNTC is a not-for-profit trust company and registered charity, a subsidiary of SG Enable, whose sole purpose is to safeguard money that caregivers set aside for the long-term care of a person with special needs — and to pay it out, on your written instructions, when you no longer can.
The practical layer
- Opening a trust takes S$5,000, and topping up later can come from cash, your will, CPF nomination or insurance nomination.
- Fees are 90–100% MSF-subsidised: as of July 2026, about S$150 one-time to set up, S$0 a year until activation, then S$40 to activate and S$40 a year.
- The principal value of the trust fund is guaranteed by the Government.
- Disbursement follows your Letter of Intent once the trust activates on your passing or incapacity.
SNTC also administers the Special Needs Savings Scheme for CPF monies. The full neutral walkthrough — costs, criteria, GOAL+ matching and the honest trade-off — is in our Special Needs Trust explainer.
