EIPIC

EIPIC is the main government-subsidised early-intervention programme for children up to age 6 who need medium-to-high levels of support. Your child attends a dedicated centre run by a social service agency, where therapists and early-intervention teachers work on the areas your child finds hard.

It runs in two parts by age: Early Intervention for Under-2s (birth to 24 months) and EIPIC @ Centre (ages 2 to 6). Two variants sit alongside it: EIPIC-P (the same idea at private, ECDA-appointed centres) and EIPIC-Care (a coaching pilot for parents of 2-to-3-year-olds).

How to get in

A paediatrician — public (KKH DCD or NUH CDU) or private — assesses your child as at risk of a developmental, intellectual, sensory or physical disability, recommends EIPIC, and submits the referral to SG Enable with your consent. You do not need a formal autism diagnosis first.

What it costs

Fees are means-tested on household per-capita income. Singapore-Citizen children pay S$5 to S$430 a month (as of July 2026); the government covers the rest.
